Július Andrássy mausoleum

The Mausoleum of Count Julius Andrassy in Trebišov is one of the most precious monuments. It was built in 1893, designed by German architect Arthur Meining in neo-Gothic style. The sarcophagus is the work of the Budapest sculptor, Juraj Zala from the years 1893 – 1895. The mausoleum is buried since 1894 Count Julius Andrássy (died in 1890 and was buried in the crypt of the Roman Catholic Church).

Metal sarcophagus of monumental proportions is decorated with buoyant angel with huge squadrons. Angel with huge Squadron, which not only protects but also symbolizes the soul of the dead.

Since 1894 Count Julius Andráss is buried in the mausoleum.
