Village originally consisted of several scattered settlements. Creating borders between Hungary and Czechoslovakia created employment opportunities for civil servants. Municipal population was very diverse, it consisted of Hungarians, Slovaks, Czechs, Jews, Ukrainians. Later, in the village was built wineries, where they processed grapes from vineyards of the cadastre as well as from the environment.
