Calvinistic originally roman church

Originally, Church of the Assumption, today Reformed Church. It stands on high ground on the outskirts of Borša, just a few kilometers from the border with Hungary. In early 16th century it was rebuilt into a late Gothic style. An extensive restoration was carried out in 1936, when the medieval elements of the building were uncovered. The church than got its present form.

It is assumed that there was baptized Francis Rákoczi II.

During the Reformation (1552) the church passed into the hands of Calvinist church. In 1865 the church burned down and in 1905 the village burned down and apparently the wooden belfry of the church fell victim to the fire. Instead of the original bell tower was built a small turret, in which they placed the original bell. It is assumed that there was baptized Francis Rákoczi II.

During the Reformation (1552) the church passed into the hands of Calvinist church.

An extensive renovation was carried out in 1936.
