The cadastral area of the village is the lowest place in Slovakia with an altitude of 94.3 meters above sea level.

On the outskirts of the arm of Bodrog river stands the ruins of an early-Gothic church from the third period of the 13th century. Within the reconstruction it was after a long time re-roofing.
